The Cenotaph is Britain’s National Memorial to those who died in the two World Wars. When David was driving home from a job he noticed graffiti on the Portland stone base. Upset by the damage he offered to clean the Cenotaph for nothing. The two police men guarding the monument were very grateful and accepted his offer. David spent five hours removing the graffiti to return it to its respectable state.
