MOH Headquarters, 23 Savile Row, W1

Having the pleasure of working on this solid, Portland stone building and walking through the main doors, our heritage is quickly being demolished. If there are architects out there that could email me and tell me if I’m wrong in my feelings towards this buildings. Can anybody tell me where all that beautiful Portland stone blocks and carving went too? The architect that built it, if he was still alive would never let this happen. Was this purely about money?

For environment and the help of having good stone that was on this building this should have been taken down and taken away for other historic buildings.

View of main front to Savile Row. Originally occupied by the Ministry of Town and Country Planning. Completed in 1950 the building is faced with Portland Stone. The frame and floors are of reinforced concrete.
